Three Forth Bridges.

MaggieD and I set out for a picnic lunch today, intending to head for Linlithgow and check out the waterfowl. Arrived there to find our chosen car park packed solid! So we followed the road and took the turn for South Queensferry but stopped off at the lay-by just beyond Newtown. This offers a great view of all three Forth Bridges. The new bridge is coming on a treat and the view from those tower tops must be something else!
We were also just across the river from the Naval Dockyard at Rosyth so I took the opportunity to catch a photo of our huge new aircraft carrier currently fitting out. ( See today's extra photo) I suppose the white tenting on the flight deck covers any bits labelled "Top Secret". Or maybe it just keeps the workforce dry?
