An ordinary life....

Year 6, Day 1...

First of all, thank you so much for all the lovely comments, stars and hearts on my 5th Blipday blip yesterday, proving my point yet again, about what a special place Blip is.   I've not managed to get round you all yet but I will :-))

So, today, the first day of Blip year 6 for me, and I woke up when my alarm went off feeling fantastic because for the first time in....oh I can't even remember the last time....I woke up without having been awake during the night once.  Not once!!!

What a difference that makes to the quality of sleep. To wake up feeling so rested is such a joy and as a result I was up, showered, dressed and downstairs by 8.30am.

This afternoon I had a long overdue appointment at the hairdresser.  Hannah who usually cuts my hair is still on maternity leave so Jade had the joy  of asking "usual trim?"  and almost fell over when I said, "no, I want it chopped!"

I'd been thinking about having a change for a few weeks but when I saw my SPs yesterday, it was a no brainer.  Something drastic was called for!  So instead of long straggly locks (my photo yesterday didn't show the much longer bits at the back) I am now sporting a chin length, layered bob.

It took a while to decide which chin to level it with but we got there in the end.  :D   It will hopefully now be dried in half the time and look a bit tidier.  Last summer's highlights are also gone and I am back to my natural strawberry blonde which, to my surprise, I prefer.

Sadly no camera time today so it's a shot of the lilies that Marion brought me nearly two weeks ago.  They are still going strong and smell amazing and are really the only thing I've clapped eyes on today that was worth taking a photo of.
