Shallow Water Anchorhandling
The difference between deep water anchorhandling and shallow water is exactly what's shown on this picture; the pennant buoy. In shallow water there is a steel wire connected to the tail of the anchor. With that wire we lower the anchor to the seafloor. To get it back, we use the same wire to pull it out of the mud again. At deep water locations, the weight of the pennant would be more than the buoyancy of the buoy, so we use chasers over there and pennants and buoys here.
