Pallata Tower

As the evening sun dropped I took a picture out of our bedroom window of the Pallata Tower, built in 1248. Constructed using the remains of Roman buildings is rated as one o f the Middle Ages most important buildings. Standing at 31m high it has been used in it's time as a treasure store, rationing warehouse and even prison.

To the right is the main church of Brescia -  the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta showing off the beautiful Botticino marble, with statues of Saints Peter, Paul, James and John overlooking the square. The dome was destroyed in the WW11 and has had to be rebuilt.

My extra is Lake Iseo

This is a back blip.
