Finally Finished

I've been knitting this blue cardigan for months. In an attempt to get the right gauge and fit, I wound up knitting three sleeves….I finally managed to finish it during my personal Blipfoto blackout…and just in time, it would seem, because the sky, which was blue and sunny for the better part of February, has grown very dark and the wind has quickened. Perhaps El Niño was just taking a break.

I would have preferred to take a picture of it on a hanger, but it was such a boring picture. I asked OilMan to take a picture of me wearing it, dragging him out of his labors in the garden, so his heart wash't in it. In the end, I attempted a selfie, but not the kind you get by turning the iPhone lens on yourself…too alarming!

My only real accomplishment today was taking a new Pilates class which I have been postponing since January. It was nice to be able to keep up without becoming exhausted. March is already looking up, save for the alarming, depressing, downright scary results of yesterday's elections on the Republican side. I can only hope that love rather than hate will prevail, otherwise I can only conclude the the land of my birth has hit rock bottom morally, politically, and intellectually.

I have to admit that we should have seen this coming for a long time….
