New Month

We get so used to modern technology with its built in intelligence that it can be a bit of a shock when equipment doesn't think for itself.  My analogue watches still can't tell the difference between a 30 day and a 31 day month, never mind February (whether or not a leap year).  So I had to remember to wind on the date manually this morning.  This watch caught me out, though.  Initially I read this display as March the First.  It took me a little while to realise that it was the day and date display (not month and date) and that I had wound it on to the French version.

So the watch may  not be clever enough to recognise shorter months, but it is bilingual.  (I've set it back to English now.)
