Walking on water!

As we walked along the Airline Trail this early morning, we passed a snake, ducks, a turtle, some dragonflies and this heron walking on the water.

The snake and the turtle were just walking right across the path in front us. They were totally were unphased by us taking their photo ... through the zoom, We gave them a wide berth as the turtle might have been a snapping turtle. Apparently if it latches onto you, you have to chop it's head off to remove its jaws from you!!

We also saw a Question Mark butterfly, but its wings would not spread out to show us the obvious mark. The ranger told us about it.

Susan. my niece and 6 others are of to Mohegan Sun this evening to go to the Casino! They are staying overnight...gulp! Tomorrow, they are going to a raft race and then joining us on Sunday.

Tomorrow, we are off on our week long road trip to New Hampshire and Vermont!. We are picking up an RV (recreation vehicle) in Bowe - 3 hours drive away. We drive to the Twin Mountains - 3 hours further on from Bowe. We stay there 3 days and then drive on to Vermont.

All very exciting...
