Into uncharted territory...in Brixton
Today I was in Brixton for a meeting involving the Deaf and Deafblind community. I won the golden ticket for sure because I had the opportunity to observe 4 interpreters today in the same situation!
On the way back to the tube this caught my eye. A memorial to all the youth and children who died in the Soweto Uprising of 16th of June 1976. A momentous occasion in the history of South Africa and something that still resonates today within the Deaf community of the UK and beyond.
