The wrong trousers.

Remind me never again to go walking in the Lake District without a pair of waterproof overtrousers.
The day started wet and windy with a fresh powder coating over the fells. Then the sun came out and we decided to go for a bit of a walk round Derwentwater possibly striking off up Catbells if we felt like it.
One bright spot in the day was calling in to see Blipper Sue Middleton at DerwentMarina. Lovely to meet you Sue!
After that the sleet and rain started again and to cut a long story short I got very wet. I'm glad we binned the idea of going up Catbells ( in photo ) as we would have been up there in the worst of the weather.
The final straw was walking through a puddle about a foot deep, when my boots are only about half that. Grrrrr.
We gave up and got a taxi home!
