The Windmill
What a mix of weather we've had today, but I guess everyone in the UK has had the same. When I set out this morning it was sunny, but within a couple of hours we had strong winds and hailstone, followed by blue skies and sunshine. Now it's just grey, windy and very cold!
After my radiotherapy this morning I caught the bus to Hove and went to the wig shop to get some semi-permanent eyebrow make up which is a powder that lasts for 24 hours. It comes with stencils but it wasn't easy getting them level and it took a couple of attempts, but I'm sure I'll get used to it!
Then this afternoon I went to the Breast Cancer Support Group at the local Civic Hall where they meet every two weeks, and was surprised to find that they provide afternoon tea and you can have your nails done at the same time. I'd already had my lunch but I had a flapjack and now have lovely red painted nails - it's all free too, but you can make a donation if you want, which of course I did.
On my way back from town, I stopped at the windmill in Rottingdean as they now have sheep grazing there. There are some interesting black ones with white faces which I hoped to blip, but I didn't realise how windy it was until I got out of the car and I nearly got blown over! So it was a quick shot of the windmill with some very brave dog walkers, and then I got back in the car. The sheep will have to wait for another day.
Tonight I'm off out with the BB's to celebrate Alison's birthday, although I'm going to drive so won't be drinking but it'll be nice to see them. So I'd better get on with the dinner and then get ready to go out. Have a nice evening and I'll catch up with you tomorrow.
