The vast majority of today was spent travelling from Peurto Inca to Arequipa along the Panamericana Highway. This pat of Peru has a stark landscape but every now and then we'd pass one of these valleys and green would appear as if from nowhere. Then as fast as we saw it, it would be gone & there'd be many more miles of dry, sandy mountains.
