Apple Splash.

Secondment again today... And a day of limbo watching the sea haar out of the window, trying to decide whether it's dissipated enough to allow M's chopper to take him off for a 3-week stint in sea-jail for the last time. It's now 2pm on Wednesday and no choppers have flown since Saturday - I feel SO sorry for all those at home waiting on their partners and visa versa. M has been sitting in the heliport for 6.5 hours now, along with 600 other men (some of whom have had to show up every day since Saturday). I'm hoping I'll get him home for one more night, but trying not to hope too much. There's leftover curry that needs eating! :) It's awfully distracting, but what will be will be... No point staring out the window any longer.

Edit: One more stolen night with my man :) M got sent home from the heliport in thick fog at 4.30pm - a long day sitting on the floor for him. We arrived home at the same time, and had the last of our champagne with some dinner (curry and Moet - of course) before settling down for a cosy-up on the sofa. We had a bit of a tidy too - unpacking from holidays had turned our flat into a bombsite - and got an early night. Now it'll only be 20 sleeps until he's home again - and he hasn't even left yet! :)
