Over the river

A farewell party brought us to Roosevelt Island today - in the middle of the East River. The cable tram there boasts fantastic views over the river and its shores. The building we live is in the building directly behind the white one on the picture.
The party was fun - but the inevitable goodbyes might well be one of the worst characteristics of science. On the extra is my colleague C, waving goodbye to our office, on to new things on the other side of the ocean...We'll miss him!
