The boiler broke down on at the weekend, on the night it was minus 3, just after we'd finally emptied and demolished the old concrete coal bunker in preparation for getting a lovely new one that opens at the bottom.
Some 'house coal' from the petrol station not quite up to the usual standard from the coal man, but good enough to keep the one room cosy, allowing Ms H to make her drama set model in comfort. Boiler hopefully getting fixed tomorrow (it's good to know a man who can), and new coal bunker imminent, so fingers crossed.
