The Leper Chapel of St. Mary Magdalene

A lively and spirited teaching weekend in Cambridge. These weekends are exciting and pretty all consuming; by the evening I am exhausted and all I want to do is have a bath, read a bit and have an early bed. A good day though. We had a shared lunch which is always a delight as everyone brings something different: pastizzio, a couple of delicious Ottolenghi vegetarian dishes, a bean salad and a green salad...
I was almost too lazy to go out afterwards but coaxed myself outdoors into a bright chill afternoon and was glad I did. Just around the corner from where I am working is one of my favourite Cambridge buildings.

One of the oldest remaining buildings in Cambridge, the Leper Chapel was built in the early 12th century as part of the nearby Leper Hospital. i love its character and simplicity.
