Rising From the Grasses

A barn owl this afternoon rising out of the grasses. 

Keeping it's distance but still a wonderful sight to see watching it course up and down the field in search of prey. The light was far too low for photography but with a high ISO at least I could actually get a shot. Finger numbing though as it dropped dusk.
