A brief Moment of Sun in the Reeds

As my husband was travelling up to Olney to watch the League cup final with his friend, I had the perfect opportunity to tag along for the ride and then spend the day with dear friend B.
We had a fine old time, a spot of lunch, a very cold walk around Emberton Country Park with cameras and then a long leisurely meal with loads of time to chat...just perfect! 
Not so perfect for my husband as Liverpool lost at penalties against Manchester City.
Just to make the drive back to Norfolk extra special we saw a beautiful ghostly Barn Owl perched on a road traffic sign...he was stunning.  The perfect end to a brilliant day.
