Where have all the flowers gone?
Jack Frost had been busy with his paintbrush overnight and the air was spearmint fresh whilst walking Chino this morning, with a hazy sun trying its best to shine.. but I think it went back to bed again!
This greenhouse is on a plot of land between the 3 rise locks and the Bingley bypass..... there used to be an underground alleyway called Treacle Cock Alley (why I do not know) which led from the graveyard of the Parish Church, under the railway and it brought you out by this area of land which used to be flourishing allotments. The alley was dark, always flooded and pretty scary... but when you surfaced on the other side, you were greeted by a crowd of Dahlia bobbing their heads like gentleman tipping their hats whilst saying good day. Treacle Cock Alley was filled in when they built the Bingley bypass... and this area of land is up for auction... I wonder what will become of it. How quickly the landscapes change and how readily we forget what was before.
Considering it was an extra day to the year... where have all the hours gone! :O
