Poultry show

Today was the annual Peebles poultry show. Claire and I went down to look at the weird and the wonderful; chickens, ducks, geese; drawings and photos; eggs, broken and whole.

There was also an auction. Many birds didn't reach their reserve price. A pair of tiny calling ducks sold for £100. We bid on a trio of runner ducks, but stopped when the price hit £45.

High point - a huge portion of pecan pie.
