This is Mrs S, one of my first - and most inspiring - Law tutors.

I spent a memorable afternoon visiting her in Hertfordshire, earlier. She taught me well over 30 years ago and her influence ripples through to this very day. At 94, she still does the Times crossword and is surrounded by an impressive, eclectic library.

But more important than that, she is still as gracious, humble, humorous and warm-hearted as I remember her in 1980. An afternoon well-spent with one whose life has been well-lived.
