Ran out of time so had to resort to the garage wall. In 1964 New Zealand introduced silver on black permanent number plates starting at AA and progressing eventually to ZZ. I have one each of AA to AZ displayed on part of my garage wall. In 1987 we changed to black lettering on a white background (starting at NA) Now in 2016 the series has progressed into a three letter combination and the latest I have seen is JQQ.
