The excitement of yesterday was clearly all a bit much for us as we all had a lie in with the last of us that would be me making it downstairs by 11.30am.

After a leisurely lunch of sausage and bacon rolls, we lounged about for a couple of hours before deciding to drive over Glen Quaich to Kenmore, where we hoped to have better luck than yesterday with coffee and cake.  
 
Lovely drive over the Sma' Glen but as we turned left at Amulree to take the road to Glen Quaich, there was a road closed sign with added information stating no through road to Kenmore during the winter months. 

What a disappointment, as the sky was blue and the day was clear and the photos from the Glen would have been stunning, but remembering how narrow and high the road was from our drive over the Glen in summer 2014 it's probably a good thing that it's closed when the hills are covered in snow and the road is icy.   So we ended up in Aberfeldy instead.

Unfortunately by now we didn't have enough time to stop for refreshments  so just headed back for coffee and scones at home!

Ele and Kenny stayed for tea then headed off.  I dosed off on the sofa.
