Port E Vullen
That is the name of the bay in the foreground here, looking north to the town of Ramsey and the flat peninsular of the Point of Ayre. It was our starting point for this more northerly stretch of the Raad Ny Foillan or coastal route heading south round Maughold Head to Point Mooar and then made into a circular route through Maughold Village.
This is on the east coast of the island and we came here via the mountain route where there was a little of the Cloak of Manannan this morning (see yesterday)
Although it was a little duller than yesterday it was still warm but on a clearer day you can see the southern Scottish coast and the Lakeland fells from here.
We had a companion with us today - Woody seen here at Maughold Head where we stopped for a little rest and to watch the grey seals in the bay.
Back to Laxey where we stopped yesterday - this time for a well earned cream tea! (Non for Woody though)
