That time of year

Bill Bryson made a quip once about Australian trees shedding bark instead of leaves.  Sadly, I can't find it.  But I thought I'd post this excellent shedder, bark was hanging from everywhere. 

Was going to be daring today and go off to St Kilda. Unfortunately Mr Marley got himself involved in a scrap with another cat and the left side of his face has swollen up.  So for the second time in a week, it was off to the vet for antibiotics.  That threw those plans into disarray so I went to a small, local nature reserve. It's very dry at the minute, we desperately need rain.
