2 violas and a violin.....

Charlie Armour- great lifelong friend of my dads, musician, joiner, master craftsman and accomplished string instrument maker, made these 2 beautiful violas. The 1st viola Charlie made me is a great instrument. Just last year though he tackled a Lyra viola- standing at the back with the different shape- it makes a richer sound, even in higher registers and is quite frankly, a stunning instrument. Actually, Charlie is a genius and is well recognised in the north here- you should google him.
If I could add in extras I would, of the laborious process he goes through and the stages of an instrument being crafted. I'll try.

(Squeezed in the middle is my violin/fiddle. I wasn't a fan of the fiddle as a child- we were constantly playing in village halls and being given ice cream scoops of haggis, neeps and wet tatties)
