My new home town

Had a wonderful send-off this afternoon at the Loch Melfort Hotel from local friends, gardeners and garden supporters. Everyone was very kind and very generous and I shall miss them all. 

Having said that, I'm not going far away and will no doubt bump into many of them here and there.

By the time we got back to Oban time was moving on, so we opted for dinner at The Waterfront before driving back up the hill. 

Here is Oban's famous landmark lit up in the darkness. My Sony bridge camera makes a great job of it - it was darker than it appears here and the picture is straight off the camera.
