Welting in the Heat

I am a bit late in putting up my blip for Sunday as I was in Akaroa over night and didn't get back until the evening.

I found the name of this lovely flower while I was in Akaora with Flying. She loved it and asked me what it was. I had taken some of my fathers gardening books over to Akaroa and found out It is a Tibouchina, a sub tropical plant. They are native to rainforests of Mexico, the Caribbean, and South America, especially Brazil.

I had blipped it before but on one could name it for me.

It was another really hot day in Akaora again..it seemed just as hot as the 34c of yesterday. My son Jamie and I got a lot of things done. It was hard, hot work. I said to Jamie at one stage I don't know if it is me shaking or the ground. I think I got a little heat stroke with having to be in the sun for so. I had a hat on but that didn't really help. After sitting down for while with a cool glass of water... I found it was the ground that was humming and doing a odd wobble!
