Beach Friend

What a beautiful spring day!

We headed to the beach first thing - practically ice cream weather, and after playing ball and running up and down we sat outside at the cafe.  This starling had an amazing song, and was quite persistent.  Pain au Chocolat is what he/she wanted, it turned out.  

Still in blazing sun, we went to the allotment sale, but were a bit late for a big selection.  I was suspicious about the potato varieties they still had.  Of the two I got, Sharpe's Express I've had before, but I'm not sure about Catriona.  I didn't want to go with their main crop at all.  So I nipped into the Botanics shop on the way home and got some Roosters. 

We're pooped,  but it has been both a productive and lovely weekend.  Not as short as the recent ones either.  As a result of this spell of good weather, the painting targets have slipped, but well worth it.
