The Lake District is OPEN

View from Grasmere, the road in the middle of the shot weaving its way up into the hills is Dunmail Raise, part of this road was washed away in the floods. You can just about see the red "road closed" sign. There's now a temporary road in place for shuttle buses and bikers but it's still closed to cars so getting from here to Keswick involves a long diversion. Businesses are really struggling with reduced trade, car parking in Grasmere is currently only £1.50 per day. Go on, go and visit, it's well worth it, take a walk around the lake and frequent one of the many tea rooms. Beautiful
