Afternoon walk

Ahhhh - we went to sleep with the rain pattering down and we woke up to the same sound.  Delightful.  It could even have been described as cool today (although it was still shorts and t-shirt...). 

That said, it was cool enough to head out for three hours in the afternoon for a walk, which is normally unheard of due to the heat.  We had a great time, thought at one point that we were going to get rained on, but no such luck. 

Mona decided that she needed some respite from the humidity and sought refuge in a pond, pokey puppy (a small jack russell) doesn't need ponds, she just uses every puddle she finds to cool off. 

On a sadder note, the calf from yesterday doesn't seem to be doing too well, we think that it has a broken or dislocated neck as it is very, very out of line, and is unlikely to pull through.  All a bit heart-breaking sometimes.
