Late Afternoon at the Moorbad

This was taken after I went to visit a friend for coffee after a productive day of assembling furniture for our entrance hall. I painted over the horrendous dark orange walls a while ago but hadn't finished it. We were going to renovate this part of the house next but have put it off to work on other things. I couldn't stand the mess so decide to do a make over until we are ready to do it properly. Entrance halls are very important over here and need to provide storage for shoes, coats, gloves and scarves over the winter as well as having space for guests's shoes and coats. (Everyone takes their shoes off inside over here).We looked for furniture but the only set we really liked that fitted the small space was REALLY expensive even though it was drastically reduced.. We had just about decided to buy it then found that BIL had a new set, unopened, at his home. It is not exactly what we wanted but thought we would use it till we renovated. The doors to the cupboards are a bit warped but it is much better than what we had and B-I-L has no use for it any more. He would be very glad for us to be able to use it if he were able to grasp the concept. I finished painting the room although it is pretty patchy. I spot painted some areas about 5 times but the toxic orange is still peeking through. However, it is looking neat and clean and more serviceable with the new furniture. Hubby has done a fantastic job with turning the former small animal stall into a laundry. He tiled the floors yesterday and the grouting went on today. Next week I will have a laundry and he will have a rest!
