Royal Tombs

Today we did a tour of the ancient Royal buildings in Hue. Nestled in the countryside and set in acres of land, the Royal tombs are very elaborate- all purposely placed with the river flowing in front and the view of the mountains towering behind. It was Interesting to compare the older Asian inspired architecture to the more modern European/Gaudi style buildings- illustrating the French influence in Vietnam. We also watched a martial arts performance which was brilliant, so skilful.
Unfortunately it's still cold...we are not prepared for this.
