burried, almost

I think it is worth mentioning that I dropped my D70 a few days ago. I do this not only to illustrate my own carelessness, but also the robustness of the camera. I was picking it up off of a bench when the strap got caught on the edge of the bench and ripped it from my grasp, sling-shotting it down onto a paving stone. So it was hurled down at a hard surface from about three feet. I managed to muffle my curse in respect for the wedding ceremony that had just ended. To my great relief, the camera took no damage save a couple of small dents.

Oh, and Dad, I found a couple of dents on the camera you sold me, so I thought I would take some off the sale price. Oh, and the check is in the mail. Well, not really in the mail, but you will get it the next time you see me and my checkbook in the same place.
