Fight....fight...fight...!

Up at the Trossachs church this morning there was a distinct lack of bird food in the feeders and they didn't seem to be that interested in my meagre offering of stale breadcrumbs. There was the remains of a fat ball in one of the feeders and there was a bit of a scrap between the blue tits for it.
The weather, once again, was fabulous and we spent a lovely half hour watching the birds and hoping that the woodpecker would show itself again - but it didn't. We could hear at least two of them in the woods, but they were not very visible this morning.
In the afternoon we managed a short cruise around Loch Katrine on the Lady of the Lake boat. It was very pleasant if a little chilly.
Now I am waiting for the rugby to start - it's ENG v IRE and we have both Englishmen and  an Irishman in our house, so it should be quite interesting :)
