Today's adventure
I went with my French neighbour, C, to the market in the capital today. We went in her one year old new car and the weather was pretty grim over the mountains with rain and low cloud and mist. We were on the return journey and I noticed they were some small rocks on the road and I pointed them out to C verbally. Unfortunately, she was distracted and we went over some of them. Then we heard a noise and she had burst not one but two tyres. She rang her Insurance company who were in Madrid and spoke good French and they said they would send a breakdown lorry. I rang my husband to come and pick us up. That's enough adventure for one day, at least we are both OK. C had to steer her car onto the breakdown truck under instructions from a very helpful Spanish truck driver,
