Landscaper
Today has been another hot one, this afternoon Marie and I took another drive around the area we went yesterday. It's wonderful what you can find when you turn right or left and go down a road not traveled before. This man lives in a bus and what attracted us to his place; a couple of dead trucks amongst the Sunflowers. This man like me has been to the great Kiwi dream of working at the Mines in Australia was the money great in the very short term yes, in the long term no. Shift work, 12 hour shifts with 1 hour traveling each way or fly in fly out, or stuck in a camp where all you do is eat sleep and go to work you never left. This man is a Landscaper and has some nice gardens which he will tidy up when he gets the time. Most of the stuff on his place is a work in progress. Amazing things happen when talk casually to people and you start to talk about where you come from. This man grew up in Bluff and his Grandfather was the Blacksmith who made some of the things in Bluff. Marie and I are originally from Invercargill and Bluff 17 miles from our old home town is the Port that services the Provence. It was great reminiscing
