This is a sort of emergency blip, since it's 8:14 p.m. in Florida, several guests for the neighborhood cocktail party have just departed, I've washed a lot of wine glasses and suddenly realized I have not touched the camera today!  I lost my chance at getting some good shots when the neighbors were here, although I don't know if they would have agreed to be posted on such a famous venue as Blipfoto.  SO, this painting hangs in my office opposite my desk because I like it very much and my husband doesn't want it hanging anywhere else in the house.  A friend/artist from Beijing painted it for me as a gift and it's a "family portrait" according the Chinese astrology.  Lower left is the goat (eldest daughter), then in the lower center is the pig (yours truly), the snake is plastered on the side of the pig (snake is youngest daughter), the rat is riding on the back of the pig (rat is middle daughter) and to the right of the pig is the rooster, my husband.  I don't recall what all the words in Chinese are, but something about long life, good fortune and happiness.  He wanted to do all the grandchildren and sons-in-law as well, but I told him it would look like a FARM if he included all 18 of us, so he decided to just do our immediate family.  So there you go, our family portrait.  Thanks for reading the story!!!!  :)
