The Band Played On!

A frosty day but another lovely calm and sunny day.  It has been cold, minus five this evening but we can deal with that when it's so fine.

I was working in the museum office this morning, orders and photo archive.  The afternoon was spent working on the desk and a lot of folk about with the schools off for a long weekend.  Been over to Bressay this evening and a bag of chips on the way home.  Heading out with friends later.

Another weekend and another Up Helly Aa.  Tonight is the Cullivoe UHA and also the Bressay UHA.  Caught the ferry over with mam, niece Elise and friend Shannon.  A lovely calm night, torches burned well and the Jarl and his squad looked great.  On the way back to Lerwick, we got a few songs, as the Lerwick Brass Band continued to play.  Thankfully nothing like on the Titanic!  Taken on the Bressay ferry, Leirna.
