Haircut

I thought I'd use this picture to demonstrate that I have had a long overdue haircut.

I think it's obvious.

A joy filled day at school ahead - everyone is tired and a bit tetchy!

But, why?

I have a theory (albeit not a great one) that us teachers find it quite hard to adapt to the lack of routine that the summer break might present.

I have put a bit of field work into this research and asked one other colleague who didn't disagree.

That's quite a sample size. Armed with all this data I'm almost ready to publish this bit of cutting edge research.

Anyway, for the first time in my teaching career (I think) the summer break is 6 weeks long.

Even I can see that maybe that's pushing it!

I am not about to start an online petition to change it however.
