My Life With Luna

Fridays Swan is Full of Grace

I walked round the perimeter of Needham Lake this afternoon, not very far really - it takes about twenty minutes, much longer of course if you keep stopping to look at and photograph the flora and fauna.
A lot of trees had been felled or coppiced around the lake and on the islands within the lake.   This was to let more sunlight onto the water thus increasing the oxygen and nutrients to improve the quality of the water.   It does look so much better and hopefully will be a success as the water was quite stagnant in parts.
There were several Canada Geese, Mallards, Seagulls, Moorhens and Coots along with two Swans.   I liked the setting sun reflecting in the water giving it a golden glow against the pure white of the Swans feathers.
