Delving into my family history.

We are back in Shropshire where today the probate valuation was completed, a step nearer to finishing our tasks. This lady was born in 1840 and , I think is my Great Great Grandmother, her portrait used to hang in the hall at my Grandmothers house, before moving to Shropshire with my Aunt.  I am told that she used to own the piano that we now have in our house. I love this portrait, the detail in the lace and the way the eyes are painted are exquisite.
