Nello is 70 next month.

Having left Keele 30 years ago I returned today with Edgar who has an interview there next week for Mental Health Nursing.
Lunch in the Union was like stepping back in time. Nello was still sitting there quietly making posters, with his highlighter pens, about the teams for his upcoming football fixtures.
He told us he is 70 next month and there will be a dinner for him in Keele Hall for invited guests only. He confirmed that he's enjoying his new found celebrity. He told Edgar that Keele was the best university and A&E at the university hospital was the best A&E. He then made the best offer of all....he said that if Edgar gets a place at Keele he can play on his football team. He has left me with a warm glow.
