"Evening All" from Monsieur Bouquetin

After a pretty grim week, the webcam above Villars finally showed some blue in the sky. One problem though, it was gone 4pm. Catching the last telecabine, in a flurry of camera, lenses, ski sticks and helmet, I rose slowly through the fog. Only at the very top did the telecabine burst out into the light (photos on Flickr): https://www.flickr.com/photos/hilarysview/?

From the top of the Grand Chamossaire I was the last to ski down but could not resist a peek over the south face. There Mr. Bouquetin was waiting to have his portrait taken. What a precious moment.

Thanks for all the presents for yesterday's Jay feathers, he has been recycled, probably by a fox.
