Intriguing...

Our walk today took us along the cliffs to the south of Puerto de la Cruz - we were dropped off by the bus and walked home. This imposing ruin seems to have been a pumping station: there were various pipes going into it from the bottom of the barranco and up the cliff face.

Lunch happened on the black sand as we wondered if the waves on the incoming tide would reach us before we'd finished.

They didn't, quite.
