Appropriate?

Some Welsh friends are coming to supper tonight in lieu of St David's Day  and M had laid the table well in advance which included daffodils from the garden. Some were in a small vase and others in french "porte couteaux" . This struck me as fairly symbolic with Wales playing France tonight in the 6 Nations Rugby.
