Ginger

Last year I looked at a shriveled up looking ginger root at our neighbors and asked what it was. Well, it's a piece of ginger that has gotten a little "old", I was told. They were going to throw it out, so I said I'd like to plant it and see if it comes up. It had what looked like a root trying to find a place to burl into and try to grow. I stuck it in a pot with another little plant just to see what would happen. Well, this is it!! So far the leaves that should be out like the bottom one, are kind of stuck inside each other. It's a rather fascinating looking thing. I shall see what it looks like in a few days. Just thought you might enjoy seeing this and telling me you grow it all the time, or something like that. :-)
