Delightful gentleman, whom I met at the launch party of an annual arts festival I'll be covering for the next two weekends. Interesting character as well: born in Casablanca, married to a Vietnamese woman, worked at USAID his whole life, and now, hosts his own radio show featuring world music. He's attending the festival to scout for new voices to highlight on his show.
I'm excited about the festival: it's unique in its genre, deliberately mixing different art forms into single performances for unexpected results. Over a period of six days, there will be more than 100 performances featuring 400-some artists. And yes, they will be blipped -- probably multiple times :)
