Forest fire smoke

This is not a beautiful scene. This is what we have been seeing in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada for the last few days. Forest fire smoke has travelled to us from Siberia and the United States. Then, a couple days ago, a fire in British Columbia added more smoke.

The weather had been cool up until last week. Now we are getting temperatures in the 90's F. It was 93 F, 34 C today. With very little breeze, all the smoke and high temperatures it certainly feels like summer has come at last with a vengeance.
