Minolta Dimage X

This little camera is nearly the same size as shape as a minidisc player, and it's beautifully made.  When it was introduced in 2002, it had lots of innovative features, notably the 3 x zoom where the lenses moved inside the camera.  It was one of Minolta's last cameras before the merger with Konica in 2003 and then the sale of all the digital camera business to Sony in 2006.  It was not cheap at $399.
