The chapel at Dawyck Botanic Garden

T and I had a lovely lunch at the cafe at Dawyck before going to see the swathes of snowdrops along the banks of the Scrape Burn which runs through the garden. This view is from near the top of the garden and looks over the Tweed Valley. The chapel dates from the late 1830's. There's more about the garden here - it's one of the regional gardens belonging to the Royal Botanic Garden at Edinburgh. And in case you're wondering, it's pronounced "Doik".

It's worth recording that T saw her first nuthatch on the bird feeder we watched while having lunch - and I expect I did too. It's a bird which is moving north with climate change.
